Courtney Iorio, LMHC
Courtney is a versatile private clinician and consultant specializing in child/adolescent development and the impacts on family and school domains. Courtney is dually licensed in Massachusetts as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and School Adjustment Counselor/School Social Worker. She holds certifications as a Mental Game Professional, QPR Trainer, and intensive Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Training.
Courtney has had the opportunity to work within a variety of mental health settings including: residential, outpatient, school counseling and within municipality departments in Massachusetts. Courtney has over 15 years of clinical and consultative experience working with individuals and families across the lifespan, however, found her passion working with children, adolescents and families. She strives to build therapeutic relationships with client empowerment at the forefront and emphasizes prevention. Within her consultation roles, she has supported program development, substance abuse and bullying interventions, school avoidance protocols, and Professional Development presentations.
Courtney received certification and training in Mental Game Coaching under mental training expert, Dr. Patrick Cohn, and Peak Performance Sports. Courtney has the unique ability to blend her lived experience as a competitive High School (Andover High School) and Collegiate Student-Athlete (Wheaton Women’s Soccer 2003-2007) with her expertise in counseling and performance coaching.
Courtney’s philosophy is finding the “balance” in all of life’s phases and actively seeks to put this into practice with her own. She enjoys being with her husband and their two small children and dog- whether it is playing a sport, going on a hike, or enjoying some “relaxation” by the pool or beach! She’s a firm believer in finding the joy in the smallest things and practicing gratitude daily.
